‘I am honoured to join the board of trustees at the Made For Life Foundation. Attending Spa Fest in recent years has been pivotal in personal life change. Working with such an amazing and supportive team has been truly fantastic. We all have the same goal, to provide a strong support network of people, products and events for those on a journey or battling with illness, in particular cancer. The power of connecting with likeminded people, sharing experiences, and supporting each other should not be underestimated! The Made for Life Foundation is a really special charity'.

Emma Jane North

Trustee of the Made for Life Foundation

I was very honoured to be asked to join the Made for life foundation Board of Trustees, having known, and worked with Amanda for many years supporting the cause I felt a very personal need to give back to this amazing charity.

As a leader and a fully qualified holistic therapist myself I understand the need for clarity, expertise, and excellence when training therapists to work on people with cancer. There is the emotional, spiritual and the physical aspects to consider for both the client and the therapist and I have witnessed the growth and self-belief of my team grow through their training with Made for Life Foundation.

Part of the vision of the Made for life foundation wraps around my personal beliefs and mission whilst working in this beautiful generous industry, to ensure anyone living with cancer, has access to holistic and wellbeing therapy from well trained and confident therapists, and that wellbeing becomes part of the care in our communities for Cancer.

My connection with the Made for Life Foundation began in 2006 when I was introduced to Amanda Winwood at a spa conference. I was looking to innovate treatment menu's and provide more purposeful and meaningful services for the therapist to deliver.

When hearing about the foundation It didn't take very long at all for me to see and feel the importance of the presence of cancer touch therapy within the spa environment and I was one the first operators in the UK to open the doors to a facility where no guest would ever be turned away.
